Standard news template example
What are the key features of the standard news template?
Left hand navigation indicating the key audience category ie Future Students, Research and Innovation etc.
H1 page name (should be no longer than 19 characters including spaces). The page name also appears in the news feed and widgets that feature your news item
Date the news item was created.
A short, succinct description at the top of the article, highlighted in bold (should be no longer than 120 characters long). The summary also appears in the news feed and widgets that feature your news item.
A single column content space that can include text, video, imagery etc.
|Contact and Phone||
Contact name and phone number. Optional.
Facebook 'Like' button , Twitter 'Tweet' button.
Links to news items that share similar tags to your news item.
Third column containing standard calls to action, social and feature widgets. Can also be customised to highlight key calls to action for your news item (Note: You will need to submit a ticket for customised widgets).
Who can use the standard news template?
All publishers who have completed the beginner publisher training will have access to create the standard news template. If you require support creating news items, you can submit a ticket via the Web Support Portal.
